Vectrex!!

Yeehaw!! Part of the glory of the 80's was that the videogame industry had pretty much no idea what it was doing. This little gem is the hard to find (cause it was unpopular) VECTREX!! It was a self contained, sort of portable video game machine that used true vector graphics like Asteroids did in the arcade.

The controller was built in, only 20 some games were ever made for it, and if memory serves, it looked REALLY cool in the consumers catalog back in the day.

fun facts
--this system had a true analog stick .... way before the N64!!
--it did not have a colour screen, but you could add a plastic screen over the screen to simulate colour... awesome.

Why wouldn't it be popular? That machine looks sweet!

I think it was the lack of colour, lack of games.. not sure if it was pricey back then or not compared to the Atari, Intellivision, or Coleco... all I really remember about it back then was my desire for it when I saw the consumers catalogue...
